All-metal line end shield

Description

The all-metal end shield is designed as the last safety barrier at the end of the rail tracks to absorb and transfer the forces in a controlled manner in the event of low to medium speed collisions and prevent damage to the fleet and infrastructure. The structure of this shield is made of industrial steel with an anti-corrosion coating (hot-dip galvanized or epoxy paint) and is connected to the chassis or rail bus by an arrangement of reinforcing beams, impact plates and base restraints. Its engineering design is such that targeted plastic deformation occurs in the impact area and the collision energy is dissipated, while the stability of the structure is maintained.
